Delaware & Raritan Canal Bike Trail and Delaware Canal State Park

No doubt the premier bike ride in the area is the canal path. The Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park offers 70 miles of biking trails on the main canal and feeder canal. Via any of six connecting bridges you can create loops between the Delware & Raritan Canal trail and the 60 mile trail at Delaware Canal State Park on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River (though  the Pennsylvania side may not be as scenic or well-maintained as the NJ side (NJ Monthly). Delaware Canal State Park is part of the 165 mile Delaware & Lehigh Heritage Corridor

Big Bear Gear is located at Fireman’s Eddy on the Delware & Raritan Canal feeder canal along the Delaware River, just 1.5 miles south of Lambertville and adjacent to the Golden Nugget Flea Market. Starting at Big Bear Gear, just cross River Road, and hop on the D&R Canal bike path to access miles of biking. Mercer County Bike Rides

Big Bear Gear sits near the border with Mercer County to the South. If you bike south on the canal path you will pass the quaint town of Tittusville, and then arrive at Washington's Crossing State Park. From there you can either bike in the park, or cross over the bridge to Pennsylvania and continue on the canal path there.

Mountain Biking Near Lambertville, NJ

There are mountain biking opportunities, as well, near Lambertville, NJ, including trails at nearby Baldpate Mountain.
